Ann Marie Pettis, RN, BSN, CIC, FAPIC


Ann Marie Pettis has been an infection preventionist for more than 30 years and is currently Director of Infection Prevention for University of Rochester Medicine in Rochester. She has published a variety of infection prevention and control articles in peer reviewed journals and trade publications. Ann Marie has lectured locally, nationally and internationally. She served as past president of Western New York Infection Control Organization and APIC Finger Lakes Chapter, was previously a member of the New York State Advisory Council and Legislative Representative for APIC Chapter 107. Her involvement with national APIC has been in a variety of elected and volunteer positions such as chair of Communications, member of Research, Conference Planning and Nominating and Awards committees. Currently she is secretary on the APIC Executive Committee of the National board of Directors.
