Dr. Cynthia Nguyen is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the University of Chicago Medicine, where she practices in Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship. Dr. Nguyen received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree and completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center. Subsequently, she completed a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center. In addition to her involvement in SHEA, Dr. Nguyen is active within the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (SIDP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). Her primary research interests include assessing antimicrobial use and the impact of antimicrobial stewardship program initiatives.
