This module focuses on prevention of infection with Clostridioides (formerly Clostridium) difficile and appropriate testing. It highlights strategies for infection prevention, including contact precautions with appropriate use of PPE, hand hygiene, environmental cleaning, and antibiotic stewardship and instructs the learner in how to identify who is appropriate for testing, who is not appropriate for testing, and how to interpret C. difficile test results.
