C&C: COVID Return to Work Policy

Grab your favorite beverage, turn on your camera, and join the conversation! Converse & Convene is a virtual networking forum moderated by SHEA member experts who will lead and facilitate discussion and collaboration. Participants will be able to share challenges, lessons learned, and gain greater insight not only with their breakout groups but with a larger group discussion directly following and lead by the moderators.
 
We will begin with an introduction of the topic before moving into breakout rooms. The conversation will focus on the following questions, but please feel free to bring your own questions, ideas, and stories. 
 

Objectives:

  • Discuss differences on return to work guidelines across institutions.
  • Review pros and cons of CDC guidelines for healthcare facilities and those developed for the community.
Questions:
  1. What are your current recommendations for employees to return to work after COVID-19?
  2. Does testing during the course of illness changes recommendations?
  3. Do you still have contingency plans for staff shortages?
  4. Do you make differences between patient facing and non patient facing employees?
  5. Have you applied or consider applying the CDC guidance for respiratory viruses for the community to your healthcare setting (shift from virus specific to syndromic isolation)?
