On-Demand | “Are We the Sick Police?” Examining Practicalities of Stewardship in Immunocompromised Hosts
Description
This webinar will cover antimicrobial and vaccine prophylaxis in patients with immunocompromise except HIV and transplant-recipients and who is responsible for initiating prophylaxis. People living with HIV have very well-established guidelines for vaccination and prophylaxis for opportunistic infections, and solid organ and stem cell transplant centers typically prescribe prophylaxis based on institutional protocols. This webinar will also cover stewardship practicalities in all adult patients with immunocompromise including empiric therapy/escalation/de-escalation, diagnostic stewardship, and duration of therapy.
