The goal of this webinar is to provide practical, skills-based education to support the creation, maintenance, and expansion of handshake stewardship across diverse healthcare settings. Participants will explore how regular, face-to-face review by an ID physician and pharmacist can support antimicrobial stewardship efforts, while addressing challenges related to the sustainability of in-person prospective audit and feedback, stewardship reach, and program sustainability. This session will also discuss strategies for developing structured frameworks, communication tools, and outcome measures, as well as strengthening interprofessional engagement and leadership buy-in to optimize antimicrobial use and stewardship performance.
