C&C: CDC Guidance on Reducing Spread of Respiratory Viruses

Converse & Convene is a virtual networking forum moderated by SHEA member experts who will lead and facilitate discussion and collaboration. Participants will be able to share challenges, lessons learned, and gain greater insight not only with their breakout groups but with a larger group discussion directly following and lead by the moderators.
 
We will begin with an introduction of the topic before moving into breakout rooms. The conversation will focus on the following questions, but please feel free to bring your own questions, ideas, and stories. 
 
  1. What do you see as the pros and cons of the recent CDC changes to align COVID community isolation recommendations with those of other respiratory viruses?
  2. While the recommendations don't apply to healthcare workers or isolation within healthcare facilities, are you considering any changes to any of your return to work or visitor protocols.
  3. How have you managed messaging around the difference between isolation for COVID in the healthcare setting and the CDC guidance for the community setting?
  4. Some healthcare professionals may have some concern with what is viewed as more lenient covid isolation and how it may impact patient care - have you had to address this in your area or have any concerns?
