C&C: Planning for the End of Respiratory Season

Grab your favorite beverage, turn on your camera, and join the conversation! Converse & Convene is a virtual networking forum moderated by SHEA member experts who will lead and facilitate discussion and collaboration. Participants will be able to share challenges, lessons learned, and gain greater insight not only with their breakout groups but with a larger group discussion directly following and lead by the moderators.

We will begin with an introduction of the topic before moving into breakout rooms. The conversation will focus on the following questions, but please feel free to bring your own questions, ideas, and stories. 
 
1. How will the end of the respiratory virus season affect your policies around infection prevention, for example policies related to:
  • universal masking guidance
  • cohorting strategies
  • other?
2. What metrics will you review to make these decisions?
3. Do you have pre-determined thresholds for metrics to make these changes?
4. What are the pros and cons of changing your infection prevention policies based on seasonal (or non-seasonal) changes in respiratory virus transmission?
