This webinar will focus on the current data regarding antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance, both within the United States and globally.  Participants will learn how to implement core elements of antimicrobial stewardship to optimize antimicrobial use.

  2. Explain the correlation between antimicrobial use and the emergence of Multidrug-Resistant Organisms (MDROs).
  3. Evaluate ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing antimicrobial usage, both at local and international levels, emphasizing collaboration within the healthcare team.
  4. Assess the implementation and implications of the World Health Organization's AWARE antibiotic categorization for effective antimicrobial stewardship practices, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork in antimicrobial stewardship efforts.
