This course explores the intersection of infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and healthcare sustainability through a series of two webinars. The program focuses on strategies for reducing environmental impact while maintaining patient safety and evidence-based care. In the first webinar, participants will learn about sustainability metrics and how to evaluate the environmental impact of pharmaceutical waste and related processes, with an emphasis on promoting oral antimicrobials over IV therapy when appropriate. The second webinar focuses on the evidence-based use of gloves and strategies for reducing waste through appropriate glove use.
