NHSN Modernization Updates
September 15, 2025
Description
CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is the nation’s most widely used healthcare-associated infection (HAI) tracking system. NHSN provides facilities, health departments, tracking system, states, regions, and the nation with data needed to identify problem areas, measure progress of prevention efforts, and ultimately eliminate healthcare-associated infections.
NHSN is undergoing a major modernization effort, and this SHEA webinar is your chance to hear directly from CDC experts about what’s changing. NHSN has long been the backbone of infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship data, but modernization will bring new tools, improved functionality, and a more user-friendly experience. These changes are designed to reduce reporting burden while strengthening the insights that drive patient safety and quality improvement. SHEA members are invited to join a webinar with a CDC speaker who will share the latest updates, timelines, and what healthcare facilities can expect.
Don’t miss this chance to get a first look at the future of NHSN—register today to secure your spot. If you have any questions in advance, you can send to [email protected]
