In this webinar, an expert panel discussion will collectively answer questions including: 1) why/under what circumstances would one consider utilizing adjunctive touchless technologies for disinfection, e.g. certain locations, patient populations, procedures, clusters; 2) what are the pros/cons of  adjunctive touchless disinfection technologies. both as a general approach as well as pros/cons of key specific technologies; 3) what are some key practical considerations in ensuring the successful implementation of a touchless technology program, including metrics to measure effectiveness of implementation?

Learning Objectives

 
After participating in this activity, learners will be able to:
 
  1. Recognize when/where touchless disinfection technologies may be considered for implementation.
  2. Identify the pros/cons of adjunctive touchless disinfection technologies as a general approach as well as those of key specific technologies (e.g., UV, hydrogen peroxide, hydrostatic sprayers).
  3. Explain key strategies and practical considerations for successfully integrating touchless disinfection technologies in a healthcare setting, including interdisciplinary collaboration, implementation planning, and performance metrics.
