Description
This is a three-part course designed for healthcare professionals interested in infection prevention which will start by reviewing the basics of environmental cleaning and disinfection for healthcare facilities, including approaches for collaboration, implementation and quality assurance techniques. Advanced sessions will cover frameworks for product evaluation and an in-depth discussion on touchless technologies and novel techniques and methodologies.

Learning Objectives
After participating in this activity, learners will be able to:
- Determine approaches for implementing and evaluating environmental cleaning in a healthcare facility.
- Apply a standardized, evidence- based framework for evaluating a new cleaning or disinfection product for a healthcare facility.
- Explain benefits and limitations of adjunctive touchless disinfection technologies and analyze when/where they could be appropriately used to support infection prevention efforts in your healthcare facility.
- Describe the role of interdisciplinary teams in enhancing environmental cleaning and infection prevention strategies.
