This session provides an in-depth review of fundamental principles for implementing and evaluating environmental cleaning and disinfection in healthcare settings. Speakers will examine key frameworks for ensuring effective cleaning protocols, discuss strategies for collaboration between infection prevention and environmental services teams, and illustrate quality assurance methodologies. Topics will include evidence-based approaches to cleaning implementation, risk assessment for environmental contamination, and best practices for evaluating cleaning efficacy.
