ID Fellow Curriculum Certificate Program BASIC

Description
Note: please review to make sure this is accurate—there wasn’t an existing description, so this was created based on the outline and assessment documents.

The Basic Pathway of the ID Fellow Curriculum Certificate Program introduces foundational principles of infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology. Learners will develop core skills in HAI surveillance and reporting, interpretation of performance metrics, outbreak detection and response, and key concepts in pathogen transmission and prevention strategies. Through a combination of modules, applied activities, and assessments, the course explores essential practices such as standard and transmission-based precautions, hand hygiene, and evidence-based approaches to reducing healthcare-associated infections. This pathway prepares learners to apply fundamental infection prevention concepts in clinical and institutional settings.

Note: the following may need some refining if we want to include info about the process and what folks should expect.

Participants are expected to:

  • Complete all required modules and activities
