Articles designated for CME credit are designed to be the next step in the process of translating clinically relevant, evidence-based recommendations into clinical practice. This will be accomplished through a series of quiz questions specifically designed to assess if practitioners have understood the most important recommendations available and are able to implement them into clinical practice. Each Journal CME activity consists of the full-text article, a quiz, and a course evaluation. Each CME activity should take approximately 1 hour to complete and there is no limit on access. This is an enduring online activity.

DEFINITION OF JOURNAL-BASED CME
A journal-based CME activity includes the reading of an article (or adapted formats for special needs), a provider stipulated/learner directed phase (that may include reflection, discussion, or debate about the material contained in the article(s) and a requirement for the completion by the learner of a pre-determined set of questions or tasks relating to the content of the material as part of the learning process.
